Perfect weather last Saturday for a late summer ride with a few puddles here and there, around 20 degrees and no dust!!
We met at the usual spot at around 8.30 for a 9.00 start on the bikes and it was great to see the memorial to Al that has been placed on a tree near the unloading area. We did quite a few of Als favourite tracks on both sides of the Latrobe River and the group moved pretty quickly until lunchtime. We did get slowed down by some blackberries near Telecom track but we managed to get through them ok after a bit of hacking.
We did about 90km for the day and got back to the cars just before 2pm, no major offs or breakdowns, thanks Denis for the tail man duties all day.
