Firstly a job very well done by Phil leading his first Amtra ride. With 20 riders on the day, Phil made the day flow and link up well. Top job mate.
I started my day as tail man, and got some exercise in early on a couple of the hills. Got to ride a couple bikes as well. Was a great group with plenty of help on offer. I was relieved of my tail man roll by Luke, didn't think i did that bad a job. So for the rest of the day i just got to flow around and help when needed.
The day saw everyone with smiles, a late drop in the day saw a sore rider and broken bike. But in usual amtra fashion some help and a plan was hatched to get the rider and bike back to the cars.
On the run home for me however, i had to ride a head to tell Phil about Lynton play up and racing. It was bloody hard work having to catch him and try and pass him, so i could tell Phil.
So all in all i had a great day with around 115k on the clock.
Thanks Phil and all that came on the day
Al.
Ps. Did you know that the Limberlost unloading area is maintained by Amtra?
