Seams like a good spot to put this.

Guy Martin in 2010 on a 600 at the Isle of Mann

The commentary is great, true Guy!

Interesting talk about the motor hitting peak RPM in the corners, the bike is on a smaller diameter part of the tyre.

Thats one thing i've learnt to love on my Yamaha with the fat back tyre, fanging thru roundabouts at a steady speed the revs rise and fall as you flick from side to side.

FARK - I WANNA RIDE!!!!!!!!
It's just more time to be flat out!

Just watched the Guy TT vid, those guys are mad, brave, highly skilled, loved it.

For those who may be wondering what this up and down revs thing is -

Modern tyres allow so much banking over, I am still amazed at how far you can bank over on road tyres compared to the best racing tyres we had in 1970's, so much extra grip these days.

Anyway, what that means is, as you bank over from the centre of the rear tyre and your contact patch with the road moves down the tyre wall the effective diameter of the tyre decreases. So if you are maintaining a constant road speed the engine revs will rise.

Like I said before, getting a good fast run thru a roundabout at a constant speed, with a good exhaust system, you can really hear it happening, love it.
