Good luck with whatever you choose.

Thanks Will, my income will almost be halved if i do what i'm thinking, for a few years anyway, but money isn't everything, my happiness is more important.

My story is much the same as Pete's .

Worked in (screen printing) factories all my life, till I took the plunge and started my own business.  And like Pete, the only real regret is that I didn't do it earlier.

Having said that, after 30 odd years of (my) industry, I'm a little tired of it!

Wanna buy a printing business?
A lot of people have said that their only regret is that they didn't make the change sooner, Thanks for the offer but i don't want to buy your printing business, with the slogans i'd put on the shirts i'd be out of business pretty quick!

After 47 years of working my butt off I decided I had had enough so I quit, and I am loving it. Leaving for 7 weeks in Europe next Monday, look for me in the grandstand at Mugello rooting for Rossi and our Jack Miller.

I did have a dream job away from drafting which was working on motorcycles, the dream came true twice.

The first time was running the service department for the Victorian Suzuki importers for 2 years from 1975, loved the job, lots of bikes to ride, but the money was crap. Eventually Helen showed me the bank balance and it was back to drafting.

The second time I succumbed to the dream was as a service technician for the Victorian Yamaha importers in 1983 for 2 years. Once again it took Helen to show me the bank balance and it was back to the drawing board.

Ah well, sometimes you just have to try.

Good luck with your decision Nathan.
Thanks Ken, pity the dream didn't last for you. I must say i'm pretty nervous about making the change.

It is only when a mosquito lands on your balls that you realise there is always a way to solve problems without using violence

If you can find something you like doing and get paid for it
 then its not a job.
as peter said the hardest thing is taking the plunge you need 2 to 3 days work a week the rest will come .
I enjoy my side of the electrical industry don't get to much crap  get to see some interesting places
just paper work sucks but with out it you don't get payed
Good luck  if people know your starting out around here  help/ work should not be hard to find
unless you going in to the male escort field then you might be stepping on Peter R toes
Bondage
Leather gimp Mask ( with Ball )
Chaps
he may  lend them but you would have to ask nicely and wash after use
