Just joined the AMTRA community. I have been thinking about doing it for a couple of years but just never got around to it.

It will be me and my Fiance, Sandra that will be using the membership and attending rides. Begginer rides for her and i'll take on anything. I have been riding for approximately 3 years and started racing in the VORC and the DMCC off road championship last year. Average clubby level in the VORC series but improving all the time, stepped up to B grade to challenge myself in the DMCC series this year. Love riding and racing, if I'm on the bike or spinning spanners, I'm happy.

I have a company called Hollyhock batteries and we are well known for our SSB Lithium motorbike batteries and we try and be active with supporting the riding community and we recently sponsored the HCR which i wanted to attend but unfortunately it clashed with a VORC round. Will make sure i get to it next year. We also sponsor over 35 expert Owen Lock and winner of the 2013 VORC series and 2014 EnduroX nationals.

I will be heading down to the club meeting on Wednesday to further introduce myself and meet some others. Looking forward to getting away to the property up in Myrtleford with Sandra over the winter so i can freeze my balls off for fun!!

Welcome along, Dan.

Look forward to meeting with you at the Meeting on Wednesday.

I believe you will have a battery in hand for me!

Welcome aboard Dan
I have a SSB Lithium in my KLX450 and so far I am very pleased. The guys down at Frankston Yamaha have been very helpful.
So  they have told me not to leave it on trickle charge (charge and maintain) but to just charge it up the night before so my question for you is there a trickle charger out there that is compatible so I can just plug it in after a ride so its ready for the next one. Thanks Darren :)

Hi Darren,

thats not not entirely correct. You don't need to put it on the charger the night before a ride. It is able to sit there for over a year without loosing charge and without doing any damage to the battery. Basically out it in your bike and forget about it.
