Took out the New Huskaberg for it first Ride at the 2014 HCR, for those who are unaware KTM Group have now Taken control of Husqvarna and after this year will drop the Flagship Husaberg Name and will be Running with the Husqvarna Badge.
First Impression.

After riding Big bores for 14 years I thought a 350 would be a bit of a let down " Bullshit" this thing Hauls Arse, NO it won't Rip your Bloody Arms off like a FE570 does, but it is totally user friendly and anyone who can Ride will have a ball on this Thing. It's got unbelievable traction and will make you wonna Rev the living Hell out of it, this thing Revs like a 2 Banger and feels as smooth as sewing Machine. Just change the Tryes and add on the usual goodies like Bark Busters & Radiator Guards and your in Business, nothing else is Really needed.
Overall it does just about everything well and as usual, the spring weights of around 75-80 kg will probably have to be changed to suit a 85-95 kg Rider like myself.

Things that will be needed to improve this Bike:
1. Not Much
2. The Rear End sits to low, and changes the Rake Angle so it's a bit light in the front end which makes it skittish. Now that it's had a good Caining and all the springy things have been Maxed out on the Spoon Drains I will set the correct Rider & Sag Heights and see if I need a bigger spring in the Rear.
3. A good bash Plate "Hyde"
4. Case Saver.
5. Air Horns.

What's with the air horns  Pete.?  I'm sure like most 4 strokes  you  will end up with a ear piercing  muffler that you can here coming ks away.
How she go in  mini bike  track.
Some of those wash out snuck up on me  with a few bone jarring landings .

A few of us Decided to try Air Horns about 5 years ago, just as a Laugh.
No need for a Air Piercing Muffler.
It was better than the 570 in the Mini Bike Track.

Next Years HCR we are going to Run an ipod with Amp and Speakers, one of us will have a FM Transmitter which will Broadcast the signal to the other bike, and this will allow us to have the same song  running " Quadraphonic "

Pete , compared to the 013 model whats the price difference. The 013''s are still around $8400 plus reg & bits. Thinking of it. For that matter a bit of feed back would be good.[ sensible feed back please]

Ones a Husky. The other is a Kato with Husky plastics, link rear end and Husky setting.
The '13 is a lot more flickable and less stable at speed.
The '14 has more bottom end grunt and feels a lot more planted to the track and slightly lighter to ride, even though its actually slightly heavier. Traction seemed about the same on both to me, which is a Husky thing.
Just my opinion after riding mine and Nath's back to back Rod.

Incorrect, ones a Husky, the other is a KTM/Berg with Husqvarna Decals :up:
And the 2013 models around 9k with a resale Value of whatever you can Get :down:
The 2014 Huskaberg in around 13.5k and Resale Value is about 1.5k loss per Year.:down:

That's what I said. The 2013, the one I own. Is a husky. The 2014 is a kato with berg in breading.
