Great weekend. I think there were about 25 riders and 33 people in total who went along. Saturday was a full day of High Country trails. Some
river crossings. There were 3 bike drownings. One KTM 300 was drowned
twice. Once on the way to the snow and again on the way back.
These were quickly sorted out. Jase should now be an expert at
de-watering a bike. We made it to the snow and had a bit of a play
around. Not easy to ride in and i'm sure everyone fell over at some
point. On the way home a few 2 strokes were running out of fuel.
Fortunately Alex's KTM 500 had a large tank on it, so there was some
shuffling around of fuel. We were all safely back at Abbeyard around
5:00.

Sunday we set off around 9:30 and did Razor Track loop. Big hills and
quite a few river crossings. No bike drownings. Back at Abbeyard at
around 12:30.
Tim put on breakfast and dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday. Good food
and company. No injuries that i'm aware of. Excellent weekend.
Thanks Tim for organizing everything and leading the rides and also to the tail men.

That looks like some serious snow.

That is serious snow, my feet got cold just looking at it.
It's just more time to be flat out!

And that is not a hill!

Lucky for us we didn't have to go any further on that track, we played there for a bit and went back down where the snow wasn't.

It was my first AMTRA ride, and obviously my first time to Abbeyard. Great facility, and great ride. Lots of what the high country has to offer. The snow was a bonus. That hill we got stuck on was soooo slippery. At one point I was in 3rd gear revving like mad, sliding backwards.

I had a great weekend. That dinner on Saturday night included the best pork I've ever eaten.

Thanks to all that organised and assisted and especially to those that attended. It was a great weekend, socially as well as the riding.

That is, all apart from the 2 wheels on my car and 1 on my caravan that got quite severely flat spotted on the potholes at the start of the dirt road. Lesson to me and a warning to all, nice and slow along Abbeyard Rd once it's dirt!!
