Buy 2 of the $38 ones and save on shipping.

When the 1st one fails you'll know what to expect of the 2nd one.

I was thinking that and even thought of putting the spare in the tool kit with some wire and hose as a quick pop in fix for any bike . The joys of late model bikes. Bring back the carby!

The Berg wouldn't have had this issue? You could wash that and ride that one.......

Yep, I had the first Sherco (2013) fuel pump fail, and I replaced it with a $38 eBay one (I bought two for the exact reason Tim mentioned). But the eBay pump never failed. My spare was used in a Husky - which had the exact same fuel system as the (old) Sherco. I saw another Husky (Same fuel system too) with a failed fuel pump, so it seems like a common problem.  I carried my spare pump for the entire time I rode my old Sherco. I haven't carried it with my new Sherco (2016) which I've had since new, and which I see has a different fuel system from the old Sherco.

Short answer:- Yes, go the $38 option! lol

My 2017 ktm500 died on one of the Amtra Marysville rides.
Trailer-ed back, and the dealer diagnosed the fuel pump died, it was replaced under warranty.
