Hi All,

Just dropping a note to introduce myself as a new member to this site. My name is Simon and I have recently decided to get back into some off road riding.

I used to ride a bit of club level motorcross as a junior, and since then have only ridden road bikes - which I gave away about 3 years ago.

Anyway, the urge is back, and I have (maybe stupidly) picked up a late model WRF450, and my 16 year old son has bought himself a CRF250L.  We both have rec-reg, and although it is a challenge finding places for the young fella to ride, I am super keen to meet up with some of you more experienced off-road guys to learn the ropes on the trails.

Looking forward to getting to get to know you!

Simon

Hi Jeff,

Nothing against the WR, Just hoping a 450 isn't a case of biting off more than I can chew!

Hey Simon,
If you have bitten off more than you can chew
JUST CHEW HARDER!!
(Usually the rocks & sh1t the other riders will throw at you ha ha)
Welcome aboard & why did you get rid of the road bike as a few of us are into adventure bikes?
If you ask a stupid question you are a fool for a second. If you don't ask any questions then you are a fool forever!!

Great advice! I will remember that when I get out on the trails..

I still love road riding but was commuting most days. My last bike was a KTM SMR990. Getting onto an adventure bike is something I can see in the next few years.
