I took my gs800 in for a service yesterday at Doncaster BMW and was given one of these as a loan. Anyone who has ridden the now redundant 800 knows they arent known as excitement machines as the power delivery is a bit soft.
The 850 is a completely different beast from the moment you start the engine, it sounds a bit mean and it is WAY faster than the 800, i was very reluctant to return it (which I reckon was part of their reason for them loaning it to me). No I am not getting one but anyone looking should take one of these for a spin.

I know the 650 is no power house, but this thing couldn't even pull the skin off a rice pudding! I reckon my DR2 has got more boogie in it. If the 'Adventure' version has the same engine in it, then I reckon people would be dissapointed.
