I've wanted to do your Dec. 27th ride for years, Peter. Finally catch a break, and I'm able to come. Sadly, I don't have the hardware (Sherco SEFR-450) or the registration (I'm only rec-reg) for this ride. :( What a bummer!

I am out unless I can find a Kawasaki dealer with a temp gauge sender switch somewhere on Monday which is unlikely.

I think It's going to be too hot for my thermostat to be kitted up for a ride, that's my thermostat, not the bike.

Bloody global warming - Have a good one.

A great ride, thanks Peter. A bit hot today, but the morning was fabulous with a good mix of sealed back roads, some interesting gravel roads, some slightly challenging linking tracks and minimal highway. Despite the afternoon heat I had a great day. I did 428 km door to door.

Met the crew at Whittlesea Maccas as planned.  First ride for me since mu 'off' on the Birdsville TracK 104 days ago.  Surprised to see Geoff there, as he was flying out for a 6 week ski trip a couple days later.

Headed off at 9:00 and made our way towards Alexandria, to meet up with Bruce.  A mixture of tar and gravel to Alex, then tar and gravel and dirt for the rest of the day.

First time the 'Goldilocks Gang' have been all together since Mungerannie.

Pete and Bruce

Getting our bearings.

Nice spot to stop.

It was a hot ride!  can't say much more.  Lunched at Jamo, then headed back to Yea.  Bruce, Dennis and Willie peeled off and headed home (Geoff left earlier) and Onion, Pete and I collected some supplies and headed to the Onion Patch for the night.  barbie, beer and bed!

Left early in the morning via some more gravel/dirt and I pulled into home around 11:30 with just shy of 550ks.

Thanks Pete (and Onion).  Good ride and good company.
