When we arrived at the Toy Run last weekend, there was a Shannon's Insurance tent there. I had a chat with the rep and asked for a quote to insure my 2 x PEs, my TS and my Taco. He took the details and got someone to call me during the week.

They worked out a quote and I can get the 4 bikes COMPREHENSIVELY insured for a total of $220.00! That equates to around $60.00 per bike (including riding gear and salvage rights)! Agreed value of $5000 per bike. The only issue is that, because the Taco has no rego, it won't be insured for any riding activity, just fire and theft. But as far as the rest of 'em go, I reckon that sounds pretty damn good!

I did nothing special, they just explained that they had good rates for historic bikes. I guess they realise that I can't ride all 4 at once, so that probably effects the premium. But ultimately, I don't care what algorithms they use, I reckon that's 'cheap' in any language.
