AMTRA has obtained Motorcycling Australia insurance in order to run kids and family ride days/ weekends.  we are aiming on running around 10 events every year. These ride days are open to members only. A lot of work has gone into organising these events, so please observe the following rules to make the events enjoyable and safe for everyone.

1. Helmets and full safety gear to be worn ( motorbike boots, goggles, gloves, pants, sleeved tops and armour)

2. Motorcycles must be silenced properly and in safe condition

3. No quad bikes or training wheels

4. All underage riders and their guardians must adhere to directions of organisers

5. Take all rubbish home

6. The landholder has the final say on everything

7. If you are asked to leave by the landholder or organisers for whatever reason, you will do so.

8. Ride at own risk, don't blame anyone else for anything that happens.

9. Members only. If you are bringing along friends make sure they become members before the day or sign up on the day.

10. Help out if you can (lead rides, instruct beginners, bbq etc.)

Non members, when you join the club you will be given access to the members area of the website where all the events are listed.

Thanks for that Pat
The only thing I would think of changing would be the scenario where
They want to see if the kid is interested in motorbike riding they borrow a bike ( not yz125 but kids bike  )   minimum riding gear
would be helmet gloves long pants long sleeve  top  decent foot wear as to fully kit a kid for 1 ride day could be cost prohibitive
and take it from there as most parents have a good idea of what  is required.
Saying that, I am thinking, of  before letting  new beginner kids loose  riding a quick assessment of there under standing of motor bike
control  like how to stop is quite high on my basic list of fundamentals as seeing runaway pee wees  is not on

I think it depends on kid size and capability
i.e. can confidently ride a push bike then it is up to the kid
I think below 4 is pushing it but depends on all the factors
mainly is the  kid  in control
