RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER

In the time-honoured tradition established by Phil, here's the monthly Marysville ride - this one scheduled for April 9th.

As usual, they  are run on the second Sunday of the month, and aim to cater for those riders that want a more leisurely day out, or are fairly new to the dirt-bike riding scene.

Directions:
Take the Marysville road from Narbathong for exactly 2 km. 
Cross the Acheron river bridge and turn hard left down onto the river bank.  
8.30 am for 9.00 am start. Rec reg is ok. 
Allow fuel for about 100 km, and make sure you carry enough fluids to keep yourself hydrated too.

All welcome, nothing too hard, but hopefully we can find an 'optional' challenge or two for those that wish to give it a go.

We will have the usual stop by the creek for a BYO lunch, and to allow those with full reg to venture into Marysville to visit the bakery.

*NOTE: The car park is a CFA filling point and the turning circle needs to be kept clear.

I reckon I will be coming. Need all the practice I can before the HCR.

Looks like the dust won't be an issue on Sunday (got to be a 'plus' about the forecast showers!)

Tip: With warmer conditions still likely in spite of the possibility of rain, a light-weight 'scrunchable' rain jacket is all I would usually take along, to wear over the normal riding gear. That way it can live in the backpack until it's needed, and is still waterproof enough to keep the upper body dry.

i will be there for the ride

showers its gunna rain cats n dogs I was looking forward to attending but the last time it rained there & we tried to ride I spent more time on the ground doing soil testing & picking 125 kg of bike up good luck blokes

I was coming but after seeing the forecast, I'm gonna give it a miss, I think I'm cursed because so many rides I plan on going too, it either pisses down or a bloody heatwave and then I wimp out

Sorry guys, but I'm making the hard call to cancel the ride tomorrow.

I've been carefully watching each new weather forecast, and unfortunately it seems that things are expected to be getting worse with each update.

We now have high winds, heavy rain, potential thunderstorms and flooding, snow down to 1200m, and a top of just 11 degrees expected at Marysville - doesn't sound like the makings of a fun day out on the bikes to me!
