Sadly up for sale: 2008 Yamaha YZ250X ‘Enduro’

The time has come for me to part ways with my super-reliable steed, and venture into the pastures of the older riders
– yes, I’m moving to a modern(ish) 4 stroke…

In order to fund this change, I’m under strict instructions that I have to sell my YZ first, so it is with regret that I offer
up the bike here first in the hopes that a fellow AMTRA member might have an interest.

2008 model YZ250X (2 stroke)

Meticulously maintained and presented – comes with REC rego.

Engine modifications (aimed to improve the low end performance and mellow the snappiness a bit, but still keeping it exciting):

- WR wide ratio gearbox
- GYTR off-road flywheel
- Cisco’s power valve spring
- Leo Vince X3 muffler
- LED lighting kit
- Ignition timing altered
- Carby rejetted to suit (has never fouled a plug)

Chassis modifications (products carefully chosen to protect, without adding too much weight):

- Alloy bash plate (Flatland Racing)
- Alloy radiator guards (Flatland Racing)
- Alloy pipe guard (Flatland Racing)
- Frame guards (GYTR)
- WR headlight & UFO under-guard taillight (LED globes)
- Ricochet side-stand
- UHD tubes front & rear
- Front fork valve stacks modified to soften initial travel
- EGO bark busters
- Braided front brake line
- Trail Tech Vapor speedo (monitors engine temp & RPM as well as the usual functions)

Includes spare air filters & workshop manual

Also available for an extra $200, an IMS 12.5 litre fuel tank with reserve fuel tap and modified radiator shrouds to suit.

I also have a range of new spare parts (top-end kits, etc) available at reasonable prices if interested.

Hey Pete I'll swop you for my 450exc with new water pump seals and rear wheel bearings. Comes with a big box of new and second hand goodies, including original tank and seat, triple clamps, heavier springs for front and rear etc etc.

Never mind that I'm an older rider,. I never take a fence.

Yes Wade, I know it sounds like a terrible idea - I'm sure I'll suffer withdrawal symptoms for a while, but I can always put some good quality premix oil into the lawn mower if things get too bad...
