This is a serious capissertor event Peter

No leakage thanks Left-eye.

Spoke to a bloke at small coil rewinds and he said the correct capacitor is 10000Micro farad with a 35volt rating
So i checked that out at RS components on line and found the correct one http://au.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/7900178/
$7.48 each
All i have to do is to solder the OEM wiring to to the capacitor.
I then found some castable non conductive polyurethane on ebay to pot the capacitor back into the OEM rubber sleeve.
As good as new. for under $25.00;)
