Find out what the Capacitance is   ie : mF   Microfarad and the Voltage and see if jaycar can help you.  Otherwise order one from Kost Tons Money KTM   it's probably Part No:  50311035000

$1.85 that's a bit over top hey.:D

What is the best way to seal it up as the OEM cap is completely sealed with
some kind of resin.

Something like "liquid nails" might be a good seal, really sticky and tough but does not go brittle.

Hard wear stores have small tubes for KTM owners, gotta luv em.
It's just more time to be flat out!

I wouldn't worry about sealing it up too much. i would wrap it up in insulation tape after I'd soldered on some leads.
They are well sealed up themselves.

After you have soldered your wires, seal the two solder joints with heat shrink. Then seal the hole thing in adhesive heat shrink and seal. Jaycar will have both and you can use the money you saved from buying KTM to do it properly Rude, then you will be ready for racin.
