Contrary to popular belief, James and myself had a blast of a day! Bob and Johnny have themselves an awesome little sand pit they very warmly welcomed everyone to come a play with their toys in! As everyone has already mentioned, the mix of tracks was great, and the ride flowed really well considering the size of the group that was going through. Weather conditions were top notch for trail riding, but if you can manage it next time Bob, dance a little harder for some rain! That dust was a killer in some spots. Getting a good rest on a corner gave everyone a good chance to blast their way through the pack in a bit of clean air for a while if it was available. The dry tracks did make it awesome for some epic power slides though! I don't think I saw the back wheel of many bikes going in a straight line coming out of most of the corners. Not long into one of the first "smaller" tracks, I was following the young bloke (sorry mate, didn't get your name...) on the WR200 when we rounded a bit of a bend with a log laying across the exit. The two of us hit the brakes, but I think the angle caught him out a bit and the next thing I know he and the WR part ways in a big fashion... The bike goes one way, he goes the other. The bike lands on its bars, pivots on the spot then the back wheel spinning flat out introduces itself to his back! A few people back on the corner made comment they thought they heard a chainsaw... Nope, just a WR200 with the throttle pinned wide open! As I stopped to help, he assured me he was fine, I straightened his bars that had spun backwards in the clamps, gave him a minute to compose himself and he was on his way again! All this on a ride I forgot to take the GoPro... Hope you're feeling alright mate! Cheers to Gary for tail duties, and everyone else for a very enjoyable day out! Thanks again Johnny and Sand-Toots-Bob-ra, can't wait for the next one!
