I have noticed that other users have avatar images, so I thought I'd add one too.

Unfortunately, when I click to edit my profile, the section to modifiy my avatar (and other profile information) is greyed out...

I am showing as still logged on, and the edit button DID take me to the profile editing page, just can't do anything there.

Hardly a priority issue, but I thought I'd better mention it for the bugs list

others have managed to upload avatar pics.

Can you post in the members area?  Could be a status issue.

Hmmm, I don't think it is me.

I could get into the profile when I first reset the password, as I was able to edit the email address. There wasn't much else I could do there apart from putting in my address details. I then browsed around a bit, and decided I needed a picture for my avatar, so went to edit my profile by clicking on my user name (top left), and selecting 'edit' on the RHS column.
It took me to the edit page, but nothing is enabled. I have tried logging off / on again, but no change.

I don't see what I have done that could be wrong..

Yes, I can post in the members area just fine.

I think it's you! If a simpleton like me can do it then a 2 year old should be able to do it.

So what did you do that was different to what I listed above?

Right - it looks like you guys might have a serious cross-browser compatibility issue here.

I (and many others) still use Internet Explorer 8 as our web browsers, as it is the latest available to people running Windows XP.

I can use Firefox to make profile changes, but NOT IE8.

There may be a setting in the forum admin software to allow it to be compatible with IE8....
