The track you may be thinking of Al is Collingwood Spur.
Been  at the top of BGB in a foot of snow and half way down we were kicking up dust.
Sarah Spur is a long way down, but a bit of a freeway when we did it 4 weeks ago.
What is Sarah Spur a long way down from Wiggy ?

Hey Wiggy.
The track I remember is out of either Bull town or Hog town? No map with me to check. Was the most interesting hand throttle clutch pop hill restart i've ever done, especially as it was my old man at the wheel of my car.
Al

Only track I know of that runs from Bulltown or Hogtown is Bulltown Spur.

Sarah Spur runs off Tea Tree Range down to the Wongungarra River

I found out that a few days before they had 5 inchs of rain in the Dargo area which would explain why BGB was so washed away

I think it's always been a tough rough track Will. My memories are of seeing these big rock ledges coming up with no way around them and trying to get enough momentum to get over them, made it sometimes.
It's just more time to be flat out!

125mm of rain on any track after hundreds of 4wds driving up and down will stuff it in no time. The fine dust would just wash away leaving all the rock exposed.

I have been up billy goats a few times. It's radical especially near the top where you are on a narrow ridge and you are tired of just holding on and bouncing around. One wrong bounce and you would go over the cliff.. Only saving grace is that it has a lot of bare rock for good traction.A real hard hill is basalt knob track. It starts close to bull town spur but goes up hill other side of valley. Located just out of talbotville camp ground. It's a hill you only want to go up never down. Some years it is impossible to get up it but some years it is easier. Makes each trip here more fun and unpredictable.
Great riding round here.  Makes me want go back one weekend soon.
