Rained off work today, spent time watching YouTube.

These guys were smart in the way they tackled their trip to the top in 75.

Thanks for sharing those links Tim, really enjoyed them. It brought back memories from when Janette and I  road our bikes to the top of Cape York in 1977. A Yamaha RT2 360 for me and  TS 185 Suzuki for the young lady.  We did have a back up vehicle for the gear and fuel, that went as far as the Jardine.  We took a couple of truck inner tubes with us to float the bikes across the Jardine and then shared the bikes with the back up crew for the final assault to the top. As Janette had caught  her foot on a tree stump and broken a bone in it a day before we got to the Jardine, I actually pilioned her for the last bit, and for those that have been up there you'll know that you have to walk the last couple of hundred metres to the tip. My claim of showing my love for her is that I piggy backed her to the top of Australia.

77 Colin, wow, guess the Telegraph still the only way to the top then?

When did they build the Development Roads up there?
