Thanks for putting on great ride Jeff! Good mix of weather made the ride all that more enjoyable and as for the PARMA at the Reefton hotel... lost for words - SENSATIONAL!

Nice work mate.

Cheers, Jase

Ride report
Started the day warm and windy
, set off around 8.30 from hoddles , with about 20Ks of mixed technical tracks before heading
accross past Mt Beenak ,  down past Sanders orchard
to the 3 Bridges fuel drop at "Johns " house ( previous start point for rides,)
10.30 ish
Topped up fuel and had a snack and took off expecting rain later as we'd seen the first front move further N/E
Lots of fast flowing Loamy tracks
Rob was Tail man in the morning and at one stage we were waiting on him for a bit, but turns out that even the man with a thousand curls has to stop for a leak sooner or later!

The Rain started around 12.00 and got quiet heavy around East Warburton , less than half of us had waterproof Jackets
The last track before Reefton had a huge gum head blocking so we retreated to use an alternative track to reach the main rd and the Pub at 100Ks total

THey lit the fire for us inside , but we ate out the back and set up drainage for the soaked ride gear
Most had the chicken Parmas and a few steak burgers as the sun came out .
We all topped up fuel at the pub

That was pretty much it for the rain and most dried out on the way back
Graeme took Tail man duties in the arvo.

40 is Ks flat out back , there was one slick clay hill we had to assist a couple bikes
Pauli was up to his usual tricks making his own tracks
Ryan had a log/stick chucked up at him from a bike in front and tore his front brake line out.
Back at Johns we did a fuel check and Ryan Mark B and Tim went back on the dirt Rds , along with Curly who had a hot date

THat left 7 of us still keen to ride .
After a fast fire trail above Sanders, Russ showed us a couple of technical tracks id never seen and with another dark cloud it was getting hard to see the tracks , so we made a bee line back to the cars at about 5.30 ish with 170Ks

photos on face book
Cheers
