Maxxis Australian have been quite helpful.
The tyres I wanted are out of stock at the moment, but they will have new stock arriving on the 22nd August.

They pointed me in the direction of Tyrepower Wonthaggi as a  local outlet, and we have organised to get some shipped down there  as soon as they arrive at the warehouse.

Everybody has their favourite tyres that seem to work best for them - these are mine.

I find the combination to be the most 'predictable' tyres that I've come across, and just want to continue to use them.

However, what suits my riding style may not suit other people...:)

If their bike range is as good as their car/4wd range. I think i might give them ago, still haven't found a front tyre i like since s12s went poo.

Ps. Flipp.
Let me know how the rear holds up on the big girl.  The yami eats rears, or its rider does now.

I've been using them for 4 years now - SI (soft intermediate) on the front and IT (intermediate) on the rear.

The YZ250 used to get between 800 and 1000km on the rears, and I generally swapped the front at the same time as the softer compound rounds off its edges in that time frame too.

The AJP's last set was swapped at 1600kms - something to be said for only having only 'limited' power I guess...

The TT600 managed around 1000km too, but the rear tyre was pretty stuffed by then.

They aren't the most long-lasting of tyres, but I'm happy with them. I'm hesitant to actually recommend them though, as everyone rides differently, and what works for me may not work for others.

Cheers Timmers. Had a dunlop on to match rear for last two. S12s were my fav, then poo. And the yz kills an s12 rear now as i like to play with throttle a bit more on it than the husky. Will try a s12 or maxxis nextset when I'm back on the bike.

Flipper.
May have a crack at the maxxis, very underrated with their 4wd and car tires. So very happy to give them ago.

Years ago the Maxxis Stoneking was a very popular tyre in the club.
Good life, good price and predictable grip.
