This could affect YOU.There is movement to turnthe majority of State Forests in Central West Victoria into State Parks - and
time is running out.
If these areas are turned to State or National Parks, they will
be CLOSED to hunting, gold prospecting, bottle and artefact collecting,
fuel reduction burns, managed wood collection of fallen and dead timber, stream
clearing, 4WD and trail bike riding, dog and other pet exercising. Camping will
be restricted to designated camp sites with payment of entry fees. Horse
riding may be allowed on specially designated tracks with payment
of permit fees, however, horse riding will be extremely limited, and
with a good chance being banned totally in these areas. Beekeeping will
only be allowed with permit fees at specially designated hive sites.We need to act now toprevent activists from getting their way. Please send submissions to:
