As per the past few years at the January meeting we're encouraging members to bring along their special machines.

So drag it out, polish it up and bring it along to the January meeting on Wednesday the 25th.

Your car that rarely sees daylight, that dirtbike you brought in 78', the roadbike you've been twice around Australia on.

If it's got a motor the members of the club would love to see it so Bring It !

You may walk away with a prize for your efforts.

So you've got two weeks from today so you'd better get polishing.

Oh and you cant use the excuse that I can't because I have work tomorrow because  you don't, the Thursday after the meeting is Australia day!

The get together will be in the carpark and we'll slip into the hall for a quick meeting and then back out to the machines.

We do need....... someone to put up their hand to do the BBQ, please.

Don't mess with old bikers, they don't just look crazy. :)

My first motor bike ride at the age 13, 58 years later I'm still riding.

Hi Tim,, no new bits, lots of work on the plastic's with wet & dry sand paper & then buffed it up with a buffer, no polish low speed, the tank was the hardest part, it had some deep scratches in it, I had to use the hand held angle grinder with sand paper, then hours & hours with razor blades, while I was doing that I thought using the sand paper on it was a bad idea, painted the frame, put it back together with new bolts where needed, & machined some new bushes & chain rollers, new bearings on the brake peddle, I haven't ridden it since I've done it up, about 8 months ago. It's now sitting in the rumpus room.

Haha that's only a small stack, I usually have a lot more then that, a few more trees have falling over on the privet property I get my wood from, I'm just waiting for the weather to cool down before I get in there with the chain saw, beside that, I'm busy finding more tracks & doing some rake work :)

My plastics on the 540 are too far gone to respond to that type of love, the front guard has a big crack held together with an aluminum strip and the rear a melted spot in it where the exhaust was blowing onto it. That happened when the exhaust was bent after the incident with the emu and then having to ride 140KM back.

I loved the left side kickstarter, my next bike after the KTM540 was a 99TE410 also with a left sided kickstarter.
This is what the 410 looked like when it was sold in 05 with over 22000 km done.

Michael, thanks for taking on the BBQ.

Also if your not bringing something to the meeting can I ask that you park over the road and walk over, hopefully the carpark is going to be full of trailers and stuff that people have dragged out..
