Big moves in the shed this week -

My 1983 RZ350 got it's second set of tyres fitted. I didn't wear the first set out, the original other owner had done 4200ks on it when the brick wall got in the way, it was 32 years of spiders, dust and UV that killed em.

I phoned the 3 local shops just in case they had any 80/80 x 18 front or 100/90 x 18 rears, just for a laugh really - well bugger me 2 of em had Bridgestones in stock. Yamaha Frankston won the fierce price war and came in at $220 for the pair. I had to pick the front up twice cus they put it on arse about the first time, fancy not knowing which way around a tyre goes on a 1983 RZ. Dear dear.

So not far off getting it off the bench and seeing if it will start - Yeee Haaa

That's very exciting.  Another red plate for AMTRA?

Thats the plan Serge, if only I can get the wiring sorted, that brick wall did not like the headlight or the wiring therein.   Thankfully i have a wiring diagram, now where are my glasses. :(

Forget about which way the tyre goes, what's a 1983 RZ?

I rather liked my RD350LC. One of the many bikes I should never have sold.

Oh dear, I do worry a bit about our youngsters education at times.;):) but not their riding ability :D

With education in mind I am giving young Jett a thorough grounding, he can now point out Doohan, Gardner, Rossi and Grandpa in the photos on the play room wall, and he will know what an RZ is. Go the Jett.    On a recent breakfast visit to Merricks General Store on the peninsula we counted 145 bikers out for a Sunday blat. Sitting on the verandah looking out towards French Island under a blue sky Jett and I were in heaven, and Helen really enjoyed the food.
