Just got a text from Ted.... hes walking and talking a little bit and hopes to be out soon....he appreciates the messages hes getting.....onya Ted...Go you good thing.

Had a phone call from Ted tonight.   Great to hear his voice, mind you, without teeth he was having difficulty getting words out.   He is progressing well and hopes to be home in a week or so.  His texting finger is too fat for the keys, but he is working on that as well. 
He is extremely grateful for the support we have given him,  and I hope to see him on his bike in the not too distant  future.

Just had the wonderful pleasure of talking to Ted. ....
Hes going to the Austin (hes not quite sure when) for the radiation treatment...so Helen will keep us posted on that. 
Ted asked me to pass on 2 numbers for him ...one to text and one to talk.

He has explained to me about they took bone from his tibia to build him a new jaw and that he needs a skin graft...so well done there I say.
Hes a little hard to understand and hes struggling a bit but didn't shut him up.... we had a good old chat.
Anyway he said he is overwhelmed by the messages hes been getting and to please keep it up as hes starting to get bored now.
I have wished him lots of love and hope to visit him soon.

All,    Just had a word from Helen,   Ted is going home tomorrow, that's Friday.
          He has been trying to ring people, but with difficult speech its a long process.
          There is some good news in this often too sad world.
