A bonny is nearly as good as a Road Rocket.
In 1966 the Monarchs were out for the weekend looking for twisty bits. Some clown said "into Walhalla would be good," it was, though a bit dirty. Then an even bigger clown spotted the twisty bit on the map to Licola. It was pleasant until the rain started then it was tough on the 650 BSA's etc all with road tyres. Most of us got to Licola by mid night and borrowed one of the many empty houses back then for the night.
After the store owner had finished complaining about us waking him up the night before he and his two crisp daughters cooked us breky before we re-fueled and headed back under a blue sky.
Just another memorable weekend out on the bikes.
PS - only 1 to go, hang onto your keyboards.
PPS - did you ever see Craig Dawson out in the bush on his flat twin BMW Alex? Twas a sight to behold
