Thanks Jeff, such a great variety of tracks and mixture of hills and tight and open trails.
I think I was lucky to make it back to the cars, the rollers started falling off my chain a third of the way in. Jeff had a look at the chain after we had a beer and noticed all of the teeth were missing from the front sprocket. I took the chain off yesterday and found that the master link clip wasn't there either.
Thanks to all for help getting through the trees, and thanks to Lefty for sweeping.
That was on there for the ill fated Dargo trip, just as well we turned around!
Are you going to pt a bit of weld on that one for the desert Paul or buy a new one, maybe get a chain also!
The chain went down hill pretty fast, the rear sprocket was good but I admit I hadn't looked at the front one.
Since removing the Rekluse it has a lot of chain slap at low revs, im not sure if that could prematurely damage a chain, light pressure with one finger on the clutch stops it, I'm not sure it's that's normal.
I have new chain, sprockets and sliders to fit and see how it goes
